Alumni Game: Due to lack of player interest and ticket sales we are having to cancel the Calgary Flames Alumni Game scheduled for Friday June 16. Anyone who purchased tickets will have their money refunded.
Golf Tournament: The First Annual Golf Tournament is still moving forward although we are still in need of, at minimum 5 more teams of 4; if you know of anyone interested in playing please let us know or direct them to the lakersgolf.ca website.
Over the years fundraising efforts have continued to fund our evaluations at the beginning of the year. The past year, we attempted to try something different after listening to your voice to not do the 'Working Together Raffle'. We had Raffle Box 50/50 fundraising initiatives, the Parent Party Night as well as the Golf Tournament and Alumni Game, however due to this lack of interest in the fundraising efforts by the members of the association we will have to implement evaluation fees for the upcoming 2023/2024 hockey season. Fees are yet to be determined.
We were desperately trying to avoid this through these fundraising efforts with no avail, so in addition we will be bringing back the 'Working Together Raffle' in the 2023/2024 season as well.
