Coach Certifications:
CMHA will once again be offering Coaching Certification Programs (NCCP) required by Hockey Canada in the fall - Coach Level 1, Coach Level 2, and Checking.
Once the program dates have been established, they will be posted to the website and an email will be sent out to members.
To find out what these requirements are – please check the Hockey Alberta website.
Respect in Sport Coach/ Leader: All coaches are required to take the Respect in Sport Leadership Module. If you are new to coaching or need the course, the course is online at Respect in Sport for Hockey Canada Activity Leaders - Getting Started (respectgroupinc.com)
Evaluations:
Player evaluations will begin in September depending on when the arenas open up. CMHA will be looking for all coaches to help contribute time during evaluations.
Coaches are CMH's best resource when it comes to evaluating players and it is the expectation of CMHA that anybody wishing to coach volunteer a minimum of 10 hours on ice or evaluate all evaluations at one level. More details regarding evaluations and volunteer requirements will be available over the coming weeks.
